Kaylee Havens

Meet Attorney Kaylee Havens of The Defenders

Kaylee’s introduction to the law occurred early, when she was involved in a car accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Her lawyer helped her and her family navigate through the next several years of uncertainty. She learned firsthand that the legal field can be complex and confusing, and she aims to help people navigate the law in the same way she was helped.

At The Defenders, Kaylee enjoys being able to break down complex and sometimes overwhelming aspects of the law so that people can understand the situation they are in, making it less frightening and more manageable. She believes a personal injury lawyer’s role in the community is to help be the support persons need through some of the most frightening and uncertain times in their lives.

Kaylee has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in Political Science and a Minor in Communication from Arizona State University. She earned her Juris Doctorate (top 10% of her class) from Chapman University’s Fowler School of Law.

Away from the office, Kaylee spends a lot of time hiking with her husband and their dog, Charlie. They also love to spend time at the lake.

Roger Bailey

Meet Attorney Roger Bailey of The Defenders

Roger has always thought being a lawyer is one of the most noble professions because most people are likely to encounter a legal issue at some point during their lifetime. As such, he was inspired to become a lawyer so he can be a voice for those who feel helpless when facing the legal system.

Raised by a single father after the passing of his mother at a young age, Roger enjoys working with clients and their loved ones to put them at ease by giving them personal attention and answering their questions so they know he’s given them the best representation possible. In his years as a lawyer, he has helped many deal with all the traumas that come with being involved in an accident, including the emotional trauma, as well as the physical.

Roger graduated from University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) with a B.A. in Economics and earned his Juris Doctor from UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law. His proudest moment in his legal career came when he was able to get a sexual assault charge dismissed after completing a client’s preliminary hearing.

Roger is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated. He donates his time alongside his fraternity brothers during the holidays for “Shop with a Kappa,” where they take at-risk youths shopping for Christmas.

Meet Naomi Muhamed of The Defenders

Naomi earned her Juris Doctor from William S. Boyd School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English, both from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). While she was born in New York, she was raised in Las Vegas her entire life and considers Las Vegas her hometown.

She takes pride in being patient and is a good listener. Naomi makes sure to hear the client’s side of the story so that she can better compare it to the allegation the client is facing. She believes that consistent communication is the key to an attorney/client relationship and is determined to get each client the most favorable outcome possible.

Naomi has been practicing law since 2021 and was excited to join The Defenders to cultivate her passion for advocacy by working with a variety of cases and clients. She has always known that she wanted to have a career that would allow her to help people, but didn’t know exactly what that meant. After graduating from UNLV with her bachelor’s degree, she started to explore and eventually found herself meeting with an admissions director at Boyd School of Law. From there, she realized that a career in criminal defense was exactly the path that was made for her.
