Mesquite Detention Center

Individuals arrested for misdemeanor offenses within Mesquite, Nevada, are booked into the Mesquite Detention Center.

For individuals arrested for gross misdemeanors and/or felony charges, they will be temporarily held at the Mesquite Detention Center prior to being transported to the Clark County Detention Center, located at 330 S Casino Center Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89101.

Note that the Mesquite Detention staff does not release any information over the phone that isn’t already publicly available.

Process of Bailing Out Inmates

For the most current bail information, call 702-346-6925.

Bail may be posted twenty-four hours a day by either friends or family members, as well as through bail bondsmen. The jail accepts cash or money orders for bail, but please note that money orders must be in the full amount and made out to the proper Mesquite Court.

Note that information regarding bail and custody status will not be determined or available until the intake process has been completed.

How to Phone Inmates

The phone system at the Mesquite Detention Center is run by CIDNET, an independent firm that provides and maintains the center’s phone network.

Friends and family can buy data for video, voice, and messaging to communicate with inmates if they are approved.

Jail Visitation Hours

Visitors must make an appointment in order to visit.

Each visitor will be required to show valid government issued photo identification prior being allowed to visit an inmate. All visitors will checked to make sure they do not have any active arrest warrants.

If you are visiting someone, allow at least 30 minutes for check-in time.

Below are some other guidelines around visitation for inmates in Mesquite Detention Center:

  • Is wearing improper attire.
  • Is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Is a convicted felon.
  • A juvenile who is unaccompanied by an adult
  • Has been incarcerated at the Detention Center within the last six months.
  • Has outstanding warrants.
  • Is on active probation, parole or any other form of conditional release.
  • Shows substantial evidence to constitute a threat to the inmate or security of the facility.

Video Visitation

Video visitation is available through CIDNET between the hours of 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with breaks for meal times. These times are subject to change at any time for security or administrative requirements.

Legal Visits

Legal visits are provided by appointment only between the hours of 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Appointments can be made by calling (702) 346-6925. All visitors must be pre-approved this includes the Attorney and anyone accompanying the Attorney. A valid picture identification card is required.  A scheduling request can be sent to mdcrecords@mesquitenv.gov

Mailing to Inmates

Inmates at Mesquite Detention Center are authorized to receive written correspondence. Note that all incoming and outgoing mail is searched for contraband prior to being sent.

Packages are not permitted. 

If the inmates receive unauthorized mail, it will be confiscated.

How to Transfer Funds to Inmates

Money may be placed on an inmate’s books at any time through Access Corrections.

The detention center does not accept payments or funds directly; all deposits to the inmate account must made exclusively through Access Corrections. Deposits cannot be done in person.

Does Mesquite Jail have a commissary?

Yes. Inmates can receive commissary items from family and friends through Access Securepak, an online program that enables purchases to be made conveniently.
